At the Asian Center of Oncology and Hematology (ACOH), we offer two modern forms of radiation therapy: External Beam Radiation Therapy and Internal Radiation Therapy.
External Beam Radiation Therapy is delivered by a machine that rotates around the patient, directing precise beams of radiation from multiple angles to the cancer-affected area. As a localized treatment, it targets only a specific part of the body—minimizing impact on surrounding healthy tissues.
Internal Radiation Therapy, also known as brachytherapy when using a solid source, involves placing radioactive materials such as seeds, ribbons, or capsules directly inside or near the tumor. This too is a local treatment, delivering focused radiation to the affected area from within the body.
The Department of Radiation Oncology at ACOH is committed to providing patient-focused, advanced radiation therapy services for a wide range of cancers. Our center is equipped with both conventional and cutting-edge technologies, including:
IGRT (Image-Guided Radiation Therapy)
IMRT (Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy)
SRS (Stereotactic Radiosurgery)
SRT (Stereotactic Radiotherapy)
VMAT (Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy)
Brachytherapy
We pride ourselves on delivering multidisciplinary, high-quality, and compassionate care, led by a team of experienced senior radiation oncologists. Ev ery treatment plan is personalized—carefully designed based on the patient’s age, overall health, cancer type, and tolerance to side effects—to ensure the most effective and safe outcomes.
